Marketing a product or a company is not an easy task and has lots of effort lying behind. There are moments where the company tries to understand the psychology of the consumer and then place the product but there are also moments where the company shapes the thinking pattern of the consumers. There are various ways by which the company tries to do this. I have myself experienced this strategy of the company where I was made to think in a particular way. The brands like Nike has set an image in my mind that it is the company that is truly inspiring and motivates its customers for remaining fit.
